If you’re in Kathmandu and thinking, “I want to see Nepal beyond traffic and temples”, a mountain bike is probably what you’re looking for. Our Mountain Bike Rental service at RentKTM is built for riders who want dirt roads, forest trails, steep climbs, quiet villages, and views that honestly make the effort worth it.
No complicated process. No overpromising. Just solid bikes, fair pricing, and local support when you need it.
Kathmandu isn’t just crowded streets. Ride for 20–30 minutes and you’re already on trails heading toward Shivapuri, Nagarkot, Chandragiri, or hidden village routes most tourists never see.
Mountain biking here is raw, sometimes tough, sometimes messy, but always real. And that’s exactly why people love it.
We don’t rent “decorative” bikes. These are proper mountain bikes that can handle dust, stones, climbs, and long days.
What you get:
Front suspension mountain bikes
Well-maintained brakes and gears
Multiple frame sizes available
Comfortable saddles for longer rides
Optional helmet and safety gear
If you’re not sure which bike suits your height or riding plan, we help you choose. Simple as that.
Not everyone rides the same way. Some people want a few hours, others want a full-day escape.
Hourly mountain bike rental
Full-day rental
Multi-day rental for longer trips
Group rentals available
Planning a ride outside Kathmandu Valley? Tell us. We’ll guide you on what makes sense instead of just saying “yes” to everything.
This service is perfect if:
You want to explore trails and villages, not just main roads
You enjoy adventure and don’t mind getting a little tired
You want freedom without hiring a guide or vehicle
You prefer riding at your own pace
Beginner or experienced rider, both are welcome. Just be honest about your comfort level. It helps us help you better.
We know there are options out there. Here’s why riders keep coming back to us.
Bikes that actually work – checked and maintained regularly
Straightforward pricing – no last-minute surprises
Local knowledge – we suggest routes if you ask
Easy pickup and support – quick, human, and helpful
We’re not trying to sound fancy. We just want your ride to go smoothly.
While we don’t force guides or tours, we’re happy to suggest routes based on your time and energy:
Shivapuri forest trails
Nagarkot uphill and downhill rides
Village loops around Kathmandu Valley
Mixed road and off-road adventure rides
Some days are tough. Some days are magical. That’s mountain biking here.
If you’re ready to explore Kathmandu on two wheels, we’re ready too.
Book your mountain bike with RentKTM and ride Nepal the way it’s meant to be seen — slowly, honestly, and a little sweaty.
Not necessarily. If you can ride a bicycle confidently, you can rent a mountain bike. That said, Kathmandu trails can be steep and uneven, so it helps to be honest about your comfort level. We’ll suggest a bike and route that actually suits you, not something that looks good only on paper.
Bring a valid ID, comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sunscreen, and water. A small backpack is useful for longer rides. Helmets and basic safety gear can be provided, but if you have your own gear, feel free to use it.
Yes, you can, but please tell us your plan in advance. Longer or off-valley trips may need a multi-day rental and a quick bike check. We just want to make sure the bike is set up properly for where you’re going.
Minor wear from normal riding is fine, that’s expected. If there’s significant damage due to rough handling or accidents, repair costs may apply. We explain everything clearly before you ride, so there are no awkward surprises later.
